    The 4th annual conference of Western Returned Scholars Association· Chinese Overseas Scholars Association Returned Scholars’ Summit of Innovation and Entrepreneurship was held in Guiyang on July 28th (Tuesday). Chen Zhu, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) and vice president of the Western Returned Scholars Association (WRSA) was present at the summit.
    He stressed the significance of innovation and entrepreneurship in the course of social progress and the reinvigoration of the Chinese nation. He urged western returned scholars to seize opportunities and make good use of domestic resources.
    58 investment agreements with an investment volume of 23.51 billion Yuan were signed at the event.
    Guizhou has made great progress in areas of big data, modern agriculture, cultural and tourism industries. The local government also issued a series of policies of attracting high-level overseas talents and creating a favorable environment for overseas Chinese to come home.
    The Western Returned Scholars Association was established voluntarily in 1913 by western returned Chinese as China’s oldest and also the largest organization for returned overseas Chinese.
