Israeli Ambassador to China visited SW China

    ​31st Oct to 1st Nov, Matan Vilnai, the outgoing Israeli Ambassador to China paid his last formal visit to Chengdu and Chongqing before his leaving. He met with Tang Liangzhi, Chengdu Municipal Party Committee Secretary. He attended the opening ceremony of Hebrew department in Sichuan International Studies University, which is the first Hebrew department in Southwest China. He also visited Taiji Group and Born Group.
    He is a witness as well as a promoter for China-Israel relations, and he promised he would constantly commit to the mutual friendship even after he leaves his office in China. He emphasized that Israel attaches a great importance of Sichuan and expected more future cooperation between Israel and Sichuan.
