Israeli Children’s Writer Was Invited to Chengdu

    Invited by the Consulate General of Israel in Chengdu and Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, Yannets Levi, a well-known children’s writer in Israel came to Chengdu and shared his own writing practices with children in Xuedao Campus of NO.7 Yucai Middle School, Ji Tian Primary School, Wenjiang Campus and Wulong Mountain Campus of The Primary School Attached to Chengdu Foreign Languages School, bring them entirely new experience in reading.
     
    According to Amir Lati, the Consul General of Israel in Chengdu, Levi is almost known to every family, His representative, the Adventures of Uncle Leo, had won the National Children's Book Award in Israel, ranked the top best-selling book of Israel, and was recommended by the Ministry of education of Israel as a reading book for school education courses.
     
    In this lecture, Levi shared his unique Israeli experience in how to foster reading ability and writing ability, and how to inspire imagination as well as creativity. Creativity means various possibilities in one’s life, as Levi suggested for teachers and parents, the biggest obstacle to creativity is the fear of failure. So it is important to build confidence for children with full trust when they are young.
     
    In recent years, Israel and Sichuan have exchanged frequently in the field of education, and many universities and colleges have established cooperative relations. "Education is the focus of our work. In addition to promote cooperation between Colleges and universities, we also hope to bring the educational ideas and innovation training system of Israel to young people in the southwestern China."  Amir Lati said.
