Israeli Singer Netta Won Eurovision Song Contest

    On the evening of March 12, Israeli singer Netta Barzilai won the champion of the 63th Eurovision Song Contest which was held in Portuguese capital Lisbon.
    Netta, who is 25 years old, took the crown with a song defending female rights, and it is the fourth time contestants from Israel won the title since the contest has been launched.
    Eurovision is one of the largest singing competitions in the world. According to its rule, every country sends one representative or a band with a self-selected song. Singers from 43 countries participated in the competition this year, after two semifinals, 26 singers entered the final, of which 24 were from European countries and two came from Israel and Australia
    It is reported that current contest cost Portugal 20 million Euro, and 200 million people around the world watched this competition, around 30 thousand went to Lisbon for the live show, and occupancy rates of local weekend hotels are up to 95%.
    In accordance with the rules of competition, the current champion’s country will become next year’s host. So the 64th Eurovision Singing Contest will be held in Israel.
