    ​On Monday, 17 November 2014, the new Consulate-General of Israel was offficially inaugrated in Chengdu - the fourth mission of Israel in mainland China, following the embassy in Beijing, and consulate in Shanghai and Guangzhou.

     

    During the ceremony, the Vice Governor of Sichuan Mr. Zhong Mian, Ambassador of Israel to China Matan Vilnai, and the first Consul-General of Israel to Chengdu Amir Laty gave speeches.

     

    The Consulate-General of Israel in Chengdu will cover the southwest region of China - Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan and Guizhou provinces. The new consulate will promote the high-tech, trade, agriculture, culture, academic, tourism relations and more, as well as providing consular service to the people of the region.
