On June 12th, The Third Yunnan International Talent Exchange Conference opened in Kunming with the theme of "Gather the World's Talents to Promote the Development of Yunnan". Li Xiaosan, the Member of the Standing Committee and Minister of Organization Department of Yunnan Provincial Party Committee, attended this event and presided over the opening ceremony.
CG Amir Lati and Li Changyu, the famous American Chinese detective who is also a forensic scientist in criminal cases made speeches at the opening ceremony.
Mr. Lati introduced results of cooperation between Israel and Yunnan, and said that Consulate General of Israel in Chengdu will make every effort to support the collaboration for both sides.
Mr. Li Changyu believed that the potential within Yunnan has not yet been fully excavated, the accumulation of cultural atmosphere in Yunnan has not fully disseminated, and the unique spirit of Yunnan has not been completely released. He hoped attendants could make full use of this conference to strengthen exchanges and communication, share viewpoints and ideas, contribute their own wisdom and strength to Yunnan’s development.
The conference was hosted by Organization Department of Yunnan Provincial Committee, Human Resources and Social Security of Yunnan Province. Including officials from some nations’ consulates general in Chengdu and Kunming, state ministries, domestic and foreign experts, high-level talents from home and abroad, around 600 people came from more than 40 countries and regions attended the meeting. After the opening ceremony, a signing ceremony in which Yunnan Province introduced 10 representative projects of high-level talents both at home and abroad was held.
