On 17th May, 69th Independence Day reception was held by Consulate General of Israel in Chengdu. Deputy Governor Zhu Hexin, Deputy Chairman of Sichuan CPPCC Wang Zhengrong, Deputy Chairman of Chengdu CPPCC Yang Xiaoying and other 400 guests attended the reception.
In the past 25 years, bilateral relationship between China and Israel has solidly developed. In 2016, Chinese tourists to Israel reached 79 thousand, increased by 69%, China- Israel foreign trade exceeded $11.35 billion. Consul- General of Israel in Chengdu Amir Lati said on the reception:” With the establishment of China –Israel comprehensive innovation partnership and the development of Belt and Road Initiative, there will be great potential for cooperation between Israel and southwest China.
On the reception, Deputy Governor Zhu Hexin welcomed more Israeli people to visit, learn, and invest in Sichuan, and looked forward to further development of cooperation between Israel and Sichuan.
