Agreement between the Government of the State of Israel and the Government of the Slovak Republic on cooperation in industrial research and development

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Slovak Republic, H.E. Alexander Ben-Zvi, and Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Tomáš Malatinský, signed Agreement between the State of Israel and the Government of the Slovak Republic on cooperation in industrial research and development on June 27, 2013 in Bratislava.

Bilateral agreement on social security

Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic Mrs. Viera Tomanova and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the State of Israel in the Slovak republic H.E. Mr. Zeev BOKER signed the agreement on social security between the Slovak Republic and the State of Israel on the 15th of June 2010 at the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic.
The content of the agreement is the social security for all Israeli citizens who are working in Slovakia or are self-employed, as well as to insure that Slovak citizens employed in the State of Israel should have all the claims for social security benefits preserved after returning home.
As pointed out by the Minister of Labour Viera Tomanova, the agreement is another step and encouragement for further agreements, which would help the citizens of both countries to a further development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
At the end of the meeting the Minister of Labour thanked the Israeli ambassador to Slovakia and all of the Israeli and Slovak colleagues for a successful cooperation, which has led to the conclusion of the agreement.

Program of cooperation in culture, education, and science for 2008-2012

Diana Štrofová, state secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, and Cultural and Science Affairs General Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, signed the agreement on bilateral cooperation in the fields of culture, education and science.
Program of this cooperation is the first of its kind between the State of Israel and the Slovak Republic. It will serve as a platform for more intense cooperation, exchange of students, teachers as well as experts and scientists. At the same time, the Program focuses on Holocaust education as part of the school education process. Annual participation of Slovak history teachers at the Holocaust and anti-Semitism history seminars organized by Yad Vashem Memorial in Jerusalem and Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic Special should contribute to the fight against Racism and anti-Semitism. Program refers to the need of investigating the destiny of the Jewish Community during the first Slovak State (1939-19450. Both sides have commited not only to commemorate the Holocaust victims but also to preserve authentic places in the Slovak republic for memorial purposes.
