Yesterday, 8th of June we received a bitter reminder of the ugly face of terror. Two gunmen, 2 terrorists, opened fire on restaurant in the shopping district of Sarona in Tel Aviv. Their aim was to kil as many innocent citizens as possible and to instill terror in our hearts.
Tragically they succeeded in their 1st goal and killed 4 people and badly injured other. They will not, thought, be successful in their 2nd goal in terrorizing us and stopping us from living our lives. Following this event a celebration started in the West Bank, festive fireworks of celebration and candies were given to young children. They were celebrating this act of terrorism, they were celebrating the killing of innocent civilians and by doing so giving the message for the next generation of murderous Palestinians that terror is good, that such attacks are commendable.
Let there be no mistake, such reaction in any quarter of the Arab world or any Muslim community around the world is the best guarantee that more young people in the Palestinian side will be encouraged to join terror activities in the future.
Let it also be clear that this type of terror is not just an Israeli problem. It already attacked in US, Europe and Asia and if not stopped, it will do so again and more citizens will lose their lives. The same disgusting celebration will also follow them.
If the Western world will not unite decisively and effectively, this kind of terror, the price in human life will keep on growing.
The citizens of Israel, deeply affected by this tragedy, will continue to live their lives, not succumbing to the terror of our enemies, and making sure that perpetrators and initiators of this terror attack will be brought to justice.
