Sukkot, also called the Feast of Tabernacles, commemorates the Israelites' journey through the desert.
During this holiday, Jews build simple tabernacles in their courtyards, much like Israelits did on their exodus from Egypt.
Sukkot has its agricultural meaning as well. Jews express their gratitude for the harvest of the year.
Typical elements of Sukkot are green myrtle leaves, willow rods, palm leaves (lulav) and a citrus fruit called etrog.
Chag Sukkot Sameach!
