First honorary consulate of Israel in Slovakia

    ​On March 30, 2015 the opening of the first honorary consulate of the State of Israel to the Slovak republic, with the seat in Košice, took place, attended by the Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Slovak Republic, H.E. Alexander Ben-Zvi.

    Establishment of the honorary consulate headed by the honorary consul LL.D. Peter Frajt represents a significant step in further enhancement of mutual relations between the State of Israel and the Slovak Republic on practical level. ​

    Its establishment is also connected with the improvement of regional representation, the areas of regional competence of the honorary consulate, with seat in the city of Košice, will thus be the Košice Self-Governing Region and Prešov Self-Governing Region.
     
    The aim of its activities will be apart from providing direct services provided to the Israeli citizens present in the region also the support of activities of the Embassy of the State of Israel in the region, contribution to the important presentation of the State of Israel, assistance in development of mutual friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries on regional level and with the individual regions in the area of political relations, trade, investments, cultural presentation, tourism, education and other.
     
    The seat of the honorary consulate of the State of Israel is Garbiarska 5, Košice.
