The 2nd edition of the successful Israeli documentary film festival KolNoa.doc has just come to its end.
From 24th of October to 26th of October 2017, 5 documentary films were screened and we sold out the cinema Mladost.
The organizers of KolNoa.doc festival were the Embassy of the State of Israel in Slovakia, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Slovakia and Cinema Mladost.
All 5 documentary films were screened in the festival premiere with Slovak and English subtitles.
The 3-day festival kicked off with opening film Ben Gurion based on a 6-hour interview with one of the greatest political leaders of modern history, David Ben-Gurion, longtime prime minister and co-founder of the State of Israel.
After successful introductory film, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Slovakia organized a glass of wine, where we celebrated the opening of the film festival with our honoured guests and friends.
On Wednesday, you had a chance to see 2 films: Rock in the Buffer Zone describing the stories of (not only) musicians living on the edge of Negev, in the zone of endless war; and also Unfinished film portraying the deliberately arranged scenes of Jews enjoying a luxury treatment in ghetto. This film contained notes from the ghetto population's diaries, with images that commemorate survivors who remember filming and who recounts the protocol from a hearing of one of the German cameramen, denouncing his role as a filmmaker.
On Thursday we screened Do you believe in love and Exodus telling love stories despite handicap and the excitement of tremendous courage, determination and bravery.
Thank you very much for your great support!
