International Holocaust Day

International Holocaust Remembrance Day

Today we commemorate the 6 million of victims of murderous machinery of the Nazi regime. 27th of January marks the  International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

This day marks the anniversary of the Auschwitz concentration camp liberation.

There are fewer and fewer witnesses to these appalling events, so we must make sure that such a tragedy will NEVER repeat, and we must educate future generations and support them in the fight against any incitement of hatred.

We also commemorated the victims of the Holocaust with the Our 6 Million campaign launched by Shemvener. Their website www.shemvener.org.il offers the possibility to choose the name of the victim  (if you do not know the name, a random selection is also possible) and light a candle for him/her.

Our team lit a candle for Gertrude, Yitzkhak, Moshe, Berel, Khava, Yekhiel, Sara and Mikhael.
