The winner of the “Start Tel Aviv” competition, organised by the Embassy of Israel and the Centre for the Development of Technology Entrepreneurship “ICT Hub”, is the startup “Globe Scout Me”.
The winning startup, behind which is the young entrepreneur Ognjen Vlaškalin, is based on a unique internet platform which allows athletes to present their athletic capabilities to the world.
Ambassador of Israel to Serbia Alona Fisher-Kamm has emphasized that the winners, together with representatives from 23 metropolis, will have the opportunity to participate in the DLDTel Aviv Innovation Festival 2017.
„Embassy of Israel is doing its utmost to support development of the Serbian startup ecosystem by organizing events like this one", said Ambassador Fisher-Kamm, adding that the great cooperation with the "ICT Hub" will continue in future.
For the competition, which has been organised by the Embassy for the fourth time, more than ten startups have applied. Five companies entered the shortlist and had an opportunity to present their innovative solutions to the jury headed by the Moriya Kassis, a product management consultant and the founder of the Product of Things.
The Five Shortlisted Starups were the mobile application “Filter App”, a guide to cultural events in Belgrade, “Uradi-Zaradi”, an online platform that enables busy people to delegate one-time tasks to those who are interested in earning, “Solagro” whichc has developed crushers for beverage cans and PET bottles, bicycle can crushers and smart recycling system made of smart crusher and mobile app, and the Couch Coach app which helps basketball fans to actively engage in the game.
