Serbian Agriculture Minister Branislav Nedimovic and Israeli Ambassador to Serbia Alona Fisher-Kamm on March 12 signed a protocol on cooperation in agriculture and applications of leading-edge technologies and solutions.

After signing the protocol between his ministry and MASHAV, Israel's agency for international development and cooperation, Nedimovic said the cooperation was very significant and opened up space for investments by Israeli companies in the manufacturing sector, irrigation systems and application of the latest technologies.

"Israeli companies are proven masters and champions of such investments and new technologies. The entry of those companies into the agriculture sector will be very important for Serbia because that is where we can transfer the best knowledge," Nedimovic said.

Fisher-Kamm noted that strengthening the cooperation in these areas was very important and opened the door to further cooperation and stronger bilateral ties.
