The Festival of Jewish
Culture will take place on Sunday, September the 2nd, at Marsala
Birjuzova Street from number 7 to number 19, in front of the Belgrade
Synagogue. Opening of the festival is at 12 AM and the festival will last untill 6 PM.
The idea of this event is to introduce
the Jewish culture to Belgrade citizens with the hope that the festival
will become a tradition as well as an integral part of the cultural life
of Belgrade.

The Jewish Community of Belgrade will present the works of Jewish artists, literary works with Jewish subjects, the Jewish cuisine and other various activities. The synagogue will be open to all visitors. This is the special occasion when the visitors, during the tour, will have an opportunity to hear the story of the synagogue from the rabbi Isak Asiel.
The photo exhibition “View at Israel” will be presented in the Marsala Birjuzova Streeet, together with the exhibition of modern Hebrew language, Israeli martial art “Krav Maga”, special children activities like face painting and more.
Official opening of the Festival is at 12:00 h with a concert of Ladino music, followed by performance of the dance group “Nahar Haesh” and Jewish dishes tasting. The festival ends with a concert of the group “Shira U’ tfila”, which will be held from 16:30 to 18:00h.
