Israeli Minister of Industry, Trade, and Labor visits China

Trade Delegation to China

    Invited by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, H.E. Shalom Simhon, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Labor of State of Israel conducted a formal visit to China from 29th May to 31st May 2012.

     

    Minister Simhon headed a delegation to attend the First China (Beijing) International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), which is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the Beijing Municipal Government. During the CIFTIS event, H.E. Simhon also presided over the Israeli Theme Day named The Presence of the Israeli Innovative Industry in China.

     

    At 2012, the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Israel, China has become an increasingly important strategic market for Israel.

     

     The Minister delegation visited the Ministry of Science and Technology, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the State Food and Drug Administration and Guangdong Municipal Government.

     

     In order to deepen the cooperation between the two sides and promote bilateral trade, two cooperation agreements were signed during the Minister's delegation visit in China. One is the Agreement on Bilateral Cooperation in Industrial Research and Development to be signed with the People’s Government of Guangdong Province and the other is Work Plan in the Fields of Water Treatment and Agricultural Technologies to be signed with China General Consulting and Investment Co., Ltd.
