China-Israel Internship Program (CIIP)

China-Israel Internship Program (CIIP)

  •

As part of the work of the Joint China-Israel Economic Task Force (JTF), a special China-Israel Internship Program (CIIP) for young Israeli academicians is set for 2015-2017.

CIIP will create an increasing cadre of skilled Israeli individuals with firsthand working experience in China and good understanding of the Chinese market. With that CIIP aims to become an essential step in the development of Chinese-Israeli business relationship by creating a platform for fruitful academic and corporate cooperation between organizations, businesses and government on both sides.

    The Program

CIIP will allow a chosen group of highly-qualified Israeli academicians, who will successfully pass the selection process, to enroll in intensive language training for one month followed by a five-months-long internship program within a local company in China. During the internship, the internes will continue their language training during the weekends and evenings. The internships in China as well as social support services will be provided by a local company specialized in this sector.

Extracurricular activities & lectures about China's contemporary politics, economy, networking and professional events will be organized by the Israeli embassy throughout the 6-months-stay in China; and the interns will be requested to write a summary report about their professional sector & personal experience.

Upon completion of the program, the interns are intended to fill key positions in business and government, while becoming an active part of the CIIP's alumni club.

CIIP will be mostly financed by the Israeli government while the internes will cover their expenses for flights and insurance.

CIIP will be open for coverage by the media.
