          15 October 2012 - Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn follows up pn the working development of the Rambam Health Care Campus - Hospital , a partner in medical cooperation with the Chulabhorn Research Institute. Apart from being the largest hospital in Israel's northen region that can carry more than 70,000 patients each year, Rambam Medical Campus has also been extended its function to support situation during emergency period caused by natural disaster or war. By modifying its parking space underground, the hospital can now transform the area into a spacious emergency medical unit in short time. The Princess also join the presentation demonstrating various latest cancer treatment for example, treatment by using new technology in radiation oncology, the use of medicine which focus on the molecular level.  

         Concerning the medical treatment during emergency times, such as war or natural disaster, patients condition are vary, and the muber can be very high, the emergency department thus highlights the importance of maintaining quality and standard in treating the patients. By having been collecting experience, Rambam hospital is now able to provide training to medical staff in thee said area. The department has already given trainings to 52 countries around the world, including Thailand.

        The Emergency Unit of Rambam Medical Campus is receiving patients from 9 different hospitals in the north of Israel. The department depends on high-tech equiptment in order to be able to quickly operate, such as CT Scan to analyze the appropiate treatment for each incoming patient. Natural and man-made disasters are common to happen swiftly, giving almost no time for preparation and injuring large amount of people. Therefore, by receiving training in this respect, medical staff will be able to ably deal with emergency situation. As a medical professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, the HRH Princess is supporting and planing for future cooperation between Thailand and Israel in this regard.
