The Ambassador of Israel H.E. Mr. Simon Roded met representatives of Thai Muslim community at the Embassy of Israel. In the meeting, the Ambassador emphasized that Israel has no dispute with Muslims as such. Israel holds high regards and respects for the Thai Muslims.
Israel is defending its citizens from indiscriminate and intentional attacks carried out by terrorist organizations from Gaza, mainly Hamas. By targeting Israeli civilians and using Palestinian civilians as human shields, Hamas is committing a double war crime.
Israel has shown restraint for a long time but left with no alternative. It is the obligation of every State to protect its citizens.
Israel does not consider the population of Gaza as enemies; thus, is exercising extreme cautions in conducting its military operations in order to minimize casualties of Palestinian civilians. We share the pain for every life loss. Hamas is directly responsible for the continuing hostilities and for the suffering caused to civilians on both sides.
