Water scarcity is a global threat. Sustainable Water Management is essential to not only alleviate damage of natural disasters, such as flooding during monsoon season and drought in summer, but also to strengthen national economics and to ensure food security for the country.

Thailand Sustainable Water Management Forum 2016, organized by Siam Cement Group (SCG) and the Thai Journalists Association (TJA) on June 20, aims to provide a pragmatic exchange about water management innovations between Thailand and 3 of the world’s leading innovators in water, namely Israel, the Netherlands and Singapore.

The Forum will jointly led by Dr. Weinberger Gavriel (Ph.D.), Director of the Hydrological Service, the Governmental Authority for Water and Sewage (the Israeli Water Authority) as well as water specialists from the Netherlands and Singapore.

Since Israel's early days, the country's climate and soil conditions have forced the country to come up with cutting-edge water management solutions. Israel invented and led the concepts of micro/drip irrigation, desalination and recycling. Therefore, the forum will serve as a platform to strengthen Israel-Thailand partnerships towards sustainable and reliable water management solutions.
