President extends condolences to Thai workers

    Following a direct mortar attack by terrorist Hamas group from the Gaza Strip at a farm in Eschkol on May 18, 2021, two Thai workers, Mr. Weerawat Karunborirak and Mr. Sikarin Sa-ngamrum, were killed.

    Today (May 21, 2021), the President of Israel Mr. Reuven Rivlin, spoke on the phone with the families of the two Thai victims and extended his condolences, sympathy and well wishes to the families of the two workers.
    In this regards, the President sent condolences to the Thai government and the people of Thailand, true friends of Israel.

    “We weep with you at this tragic loss of life to terrorism”, said the President.

    Also today, the Foreign Minister of Israel Mr. Gabi Ashkenazi, called his Thai counterpart Mr. Don Pramudwinai to extend his condolences. The Israeli Minister added that he deeply appreciated the contribution of the Thai workers to Israel’s economy.
