Israel Thai Development Agencies Start Cooperation

    The first joint Israeli-Thai course for third countries started this morning at Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen campus. Following the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the Development Cooperation Program, between Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA) and Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV) singed in 2014, the “Greenhouse Crop Production and Management” workshop was kicked off this morning in order to support capacity buildings for Cambodian, Laotian and Myanmar participants.

    The workshop, jointly conducted by Israeli and Thai experts, Dr. Ityel Eviatar, Crop Research and Extension, Research and Development Negev and Lecturer, Faculty of Agriculture, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel and Asst. Prof. Dr. Thammasak Thongket, Head of Horticulture Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, Thailand, combined both theory and practice adapted to the local conditions of Southeast Asian countries.



    The course will make use of the Israeli demonstration farm, Greenhouse-crop Production Activity, in Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen campus.
