Marking Holocaust Memorial Day, the embassy held commemoration ceremony.
In his speech Ambassador Roded stressed: “70 years after the end of World War II, the survivors, the living testimonies of the horrors of the Nazis, are fading away as nature takes its course. At the same time, the number of Holocaust deniers is increasing. At this time, it is our responsibility, the 2nd and 3rd generations of Holocaust survivors, to remember, remind and teach the universal lessons of the Holocaust. If we forget our past, history will repeat itself.”
