Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of MASHAV

    Last Friday (23 Nov 18), the Embassy of Israel hosted the event on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of MASHAV- Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel. There were no less than 250 participants attending this event from prominent people, who are MASHAV’s alumni and representatives of Thai agencies such as Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Mekong Institute, National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Institute for Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST), Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Pramongkutklao Military Hospital, Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, Khon Kaen University, Population and Community Development Association, etc. This event will strengthen the networking and exchange the best practices on the technology and innovation among Thai and Israeli agencies.

    The event was presided over by H.E. Dr. Meir Shlomo, Ambassador of Israel, and Mrs. Suphatra Srimaitreephithak, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Moreover, Dr. Pun-Arj Chairatana, Executive Director of National Innovation Agency (NIA) also gave the keynote speech on “Shifting Paradigm towards Innovation Nation”.


    Following the keynote, there was a panel discussion to exchange views, experiences, and the best practices from the representatives of the MASHAV alumni who attended programs in Israel. These panelists were as follows:

    (1) Col. Nat Krairojananan – Head of Excellence Center for Trauma, Phramongkutklao Hospital and National Director of Prehospital Trauma Life Support Course. 
    (2) Dr. Chaiwuti Lertwanasiriwan – Assistant to the President the Institute for the Promotion of Tecching Science and Technology (IPST), Ministry of Education.
    (3) Mr. Aekajit Chaiyawong – Senior Special Case Inquiry Official, Bureau of Human Trafficking Crime, Department of Special Investigation, Ministry of Justice.
