In its 12th year, the World Film Festival, Bangkok honored 60 Years of friendship between Israel and Thailand by screening 6 award winning Israeli films.
Bangkok got an injection of Israeli cinema this week, as the curtain rose on the Israel Film week at SF World Cinema, Central World.
In true Bangkok style, the Israeli Film Week opening was marked with a lively gala screening, attended by over 150 guests and celebs, of Eytan Fox’s candy-colored, buoyantly upbeat musical “Cupcakes”.
Speaking to a full-house crowd, Mr. Kriengsak Victor Silakong, Director of the World Film Festival, Bangkok described the long-term cooperation of the Festival with the Embassy of Israel and remarked that “The Israeli film industry is really at its peak right now. Recent years brought out the best ever in the Israeli film industry and we are delighted to share highlights with the Thai audience.”
