H.E. Ambassador
Simon Roded paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Chiang Rai, Mr. Phongsak
Wangsamer.
During the
visit, the Governor and the Ambassador discussed cooperation
opportunities in agriculture, water management and technology.
The Ambassador
was impressed by Chiang Rai’s lush hilly terrain and the R3A Road
project which joins together three countries in one road, China, Laos and
Thailand. This important project promotes IndoChina trade and enables Chinese tourists
to drive to Chiang Rai to
explore its nature and cultural diversity.
