Consul General Aviran visited Nashville last week to meet government and business leaders to discuss deepening bilateral economic integration between Israel and Tennessee. Speaking at the 59th Annual Governor’s Conference, Consul General Aviran touted Israel’s start-up mentality for the reason behind Israel’s great advancements in the Health – IT sector. “Israel and Tennessee share an important economic sector, rich in innovation and development. This is Health- IT,” said Aviran.
While attending the Conference, Consul General Aviran took part in a panel session about Tennessee’s place in the Global Economy. Consul General Aviran described how the Israeli economy could impact economic development in Tennessee underscoring Israel’s readiness for trade and investment. “Israel has an advanced system for protecting trademarks, patents, and intellectual property,” said Aviran. “Israel has a highly developed, stable transparent financial system.”
This year’s Conference theme “Global Reach, Local Impact” emphasized the important Tennessee communities and their ability to compete on an international level for economic development projects. As Tennessee and Israel share several complementing economic spheres, specifically within the Life Sciences field, our Consulate is very excited about building upon our economic relationship with the great State of Tennessee moving forward.
