Thank you, honorable Chair, for giving me the floor,
Members of the International Bureau, Excellences, distinguished delegates,

The Abraham Accords have opened up many opportunities for cooperation in the Middle East.

Upon the establishment of full diplomatic relations between Israel, the UAE and Bahrain, we are proud to announce the establishment of postal relations between our countries.

The Israeli Postal Company, the Emirates Post and the Bahrain Post have already started operations to send and receive parcels, packages and letters directly.

This historic breakthrough promotes peace in the Middle East. Now our entrepreneurs and industry players can trade freely with the assurance that goods can move between our borders without any barriers, lowering the costs for consumers.

With direct mail exchange, we have created a bridge between our nations to exchange ideas and innovations. Postal relations not only complement our trade relations by providing solutions for imports and exports, but also strengthen our economic and social relations and bring our populations closer.

Furthermore, the establishment of postal relations between our countries also enhances the movement of goods globally, by connecting important trade hubs into operational networks and international shipping routes.

As a result, our economies will mutually become stronger.

Together we are supporting positive transformation, stability and prosperity, regionally and globally.
