Humanitarian Visit of Zehava Shaul

Humanitarian Visit of Oron Shaul's mother

  •   Oron Shaul is detained by the Hamas since 2014
  •
In July 2014, Oron Shaul was kidnapped through an attack tunnel and held since in Gaza by Hamas terror organization. Her mother, Zahava Shaul, was in Geneva to raise awareness on her son's fate and gain support to bring him back home.
  • Peter Maurer, ICRC President meets with Zehava Shaul on 28 February 2018

For more than 3.5 years two missing Israeli soldiers, Oron Shaul and Hadar Goldin and two civilians, are held by Hamas without any information regarding their situation being released in violation of International Law.

The Hamas is further manifesting its brutality and cruelty by cynically releasing fake pictures and messages of its captives, to add pain and suffering to Oron’s mother, his family and loved ones.
Zehava Shaul, Oron's mother, was in Geneva from 26 February to 1 March to meet with senior diplomats from the European countries, the USA and Canada, as well as with heads of international humanitarian and human rights organizations.

Ambassador Aviva Raz Shechter addressed the High Level Segment of the Human Rights Council, accompanied by Zehava Shaul. She called "upon the International Community to fulfil its duty and responsibility and pressure Hamas until this unacceptable and cruel abuse of human rights comes to its end.
Mrs. Shaul deserves to have an end and closure to this inhumane uncertainty and suffering."
