    ​The Executive Board of the World Health Organization is composed of 34 elected members, representing each WHO Region. 

    The main functions of the Board are to agree upon the agenda for the World Health Assembly and the resolutions to be considered, implement the decisions and policies of the Health Assembly, and advise and generally to facilitate its work.

    Israel, as a member of the Executive Board of the World Health Organization, actively takes part in the discussion of the EB146. Prof. Itamar Grotto, Assistant Director-General of the Israeli Min​ist​ry of Health, serves as one of the representatives of the Europe Region.
