    Thank you, Mr. President.

Israel follows the situation in the Rakhine state in Myanmar with concern, and condemns all acts of violence there.

We welcome the signing of the agreement between Myanmar and Bangladesh on 23 November, for the arrangement of the return of the displaced Rohingya, and look forward to its implementation with a view to the safe repatriation of those displaced.

We also commend the international community's mobilization to assist the many displaced persons who are living in camps as a result of the crisis.

It is in this context that Israel is actively considering ways of extending humanitarian assistance to the displaced Rohingya people who are currently in Bangladesh, as well as other people in need among minority groups in the Rakhine state in Myanmar.

    I thank you Mr. President.
