President Rivlin meets Argentinian Vice President Gabriela Michetti

    President Rivlin today (Thursday, 11 January 2018) held a working meeting with Vice President of Argentina, Gabriela Michetti, who is visiting Israel together with a delegation of representatives and deputy ministers from the ministries of industry, economy and tourism.
     
    The President thanked the Vice President for visiting Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, and noted the good relations between the countries, as well as the warm relations with the Jewish community in Argentina. The President conveyed his appreciation to the President and the Argentinian Government for their efforts to conclude the investigations into the terror attack on the Jewish community building in Buenos Aires.
     
    The Vice President thanked the President for the warm welcome, and said it was an honor for her and her delegation to visit Israel and to be hosted at the President's Residence.
     
    In their conversation, they went on to discuss the challenges facing both countries, the importance of bilateral relations, and the desire to deepen cooperation and strategic partnerships – which the Vice President noted was a key aim of her visit.
