President Reuven (Ruvi) Rivlin today (Tuesday, 30 October 2018), commented on the passing of Minister  David Azoulay and said, “I was so sad to hear of the death of my friend, Minister for Religious Affairs David Azoulay. David was one of the politicians most connected to all the tribes of Israel. He was a man of Akko, his town, who faithfully dealt with the needs of the public his whole life, along with his endless devotion to his wonderful family. Recently, he dealt bravely with his illness but made sure to serve the public as far as he could. We will carry his memory in our hearts.”
