PM Netanyahu to participate in the Craiova Forum summit

    Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been invited to be the first foreign leader to be the guest of honor at the Craiova Forum summit that is meeting in Varna, Bulgaria.

    During the summit, PM Netanyahu will hold bilateral and group meetings with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Metodiev Borisov, Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

    The summit is expected to address regional challenges such as the Iranian challenge, Islamic terror and extremism, the issue of immigration to Europe, as well as the dangers inherent in natural disasters and global warming.

    The leaders will also discuss opportunities for cooperation in the areas of energy, counterterrorism and innovation, as well as the struggle against anti-Semitism and the preservation of the memory of the Holocaust.

    The Craiova Forum was founded in 2015, and promotes a common agenda in developing and protecting the borders of Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia.

    The summit is being held at the Euxinograd Palace on the Black Sea coast near the city of Varna.
