Israel and Turkmenistan hold political consultations in Ashgabat

    Israel and Turkmenistan, today (Tuesday, 7 August) held political consulations at the Turkmenistan Ministry of  Foreign Affairs. The Israeli delegation was headed by Alexander Ben-Zvi, Deputy Director General of the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
    In accordance with the agenda of the consultations, the parties considered issues of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in all spheres, particularly on regional issues, in the political, trade, and economic fields. 
    The sides noted the growing level of partnership and exchanged views on the possibility of expanding mutually acceptable cooperation in areas such as innovation and technology. 
    During the talks, the possibility of further deepening bilateral relations was discussed. In particular, both parties discussed issues of cooperation within the framework of the international organizations and mutual support of each others initiatives. 
    Speaking about the relations in the trade-economic area, the sides empahsized the oil and gas and agricultural industries, highlighting the advantageous location of Turkmenistan and the country's natural resources.
    After the bilateral political consultations, the parties stressed the imminent important date - the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and discussed the preparation and organization of events in honor of the holiday.
