PM Netanyahu speaks with Austrian Chancellor-Elect Sebastian Kurz

    PM Netanyahu congratulated Austrian Chancellor-elect Sebastian Kurz on his election victory and said that Austria has done much in recent years to preserve the memory of the Holocaust and in its fight against anti-Semitism.

    Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, earlier this evening (Monday, 16 October 2017), spoke to Austrian Chancellor-elect Sebastian Kurz. The Prime Minister congratulated him on his election victory and said that Austria has done much in recent years to preserve the memory of the Holocaust and in its fight against anti-Semitism. The Chancellor-elect thanked the Prime Minister and added that he was interested in developing the friendship and links with Israel.
     
    Prime Minister Netanyahu also raised the issue of Iranian aggression and invited Chancellor-elect Kurz to visit Israel. The latter responded positively and said that he would be happy to visit Israel soon.
