Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, today (Sunday, 6 December 2015), met with European Swimming League President Paolo Barelli and Israel Swimming Association President Shay Schachner and told them: "I am pleased that Israel is hosting the European Short Course Swimming Championships. More than this, I am pleased about the medals we have won. I would like to commend and appreciate the decision to hold the championship in Israel especially at this time."
 
 European Swimming League President Barelli said that they were very satisfied with the championship's exemplary organization in Israel. He noted that the youth swimming championships would be held in Israel in two years' time.
