MFA Dir-Gen Gold meets with ambassadors from Latin America

    Dir-Gen Gold noted the importance with which Israel views its relationship with Latin American countries, and added that Israel is determined to further promote these relations in light of their diplomatic and economic importance.

    Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Dore Gold, met today (Monday, 7 December 2015) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem, with a group of ambassadors to Israel from Latin America & the Caribbean (GRULAC).
    Director General Gold reviewed central issues in Israel's foreign policy, noting the importance of Latin American countries' votes at the United Nations on the historical vote on the partition plan on November 29th 1947, which later enabled the foundation of the State of Israel.
    Dr. Gold said that the relationship with Latin American countries ranks high in Israel's diplomatic priority, and that Israel is determined to further promote these relations in light of their diplomatic and economic importance.
