FM Liberman to depart on official visits to Russia and China

    ​In Moscow, FM Liberman will meet with Deputy PM Dvorkovich, FM Lavrov and other senior officials. In Beijing, he will meet with FM Wang Yi and Deputy Premier Liu Yandong.

    Minister of Foreign Affairs Avigdor Liberman will depart today (Sunday 25 January 2015) on official visits to Russia and China. 
    In Moscow, FM Liberman will meet with Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. He will also hold meetings with other senior officials.  
    Among other issues, FM Liberman and his hosts are expected to discuss the situation in Syria and on Israel's northern border, the negotiations with Iran, Abu Mazen's conduct regarding Israel in the international arena, the situation with Hamas in Gaza and topics relating to Israel-Russia bilateral and economic relations. 
    FM Liberman will participate in Moscow in an event marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the liberation of Auschwitz. 
    FM Liberman will arrive in Beijing on Wednesday 28 January, where he will meet with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Deputy Premier Liu Yandong.  
    While in Beijing, FM Liberman will co-chair, together with Deputy Premier Liu Yandong, the joint Israel-China innovation committee that is convening for the first time. He will also open the "Israeli Capital Funds in China" event with the participation of dozens of representatives of from Israeli and Chinese high-tech firms.
