The northern town of Zichron Yaakov is not only the home of Israel’s first winery, Carmel, but also an increasingly popular tourist spot for its beautiful vistas, historic sites and charming main street full of unique shops and eateries.

In this video, you’ll get a taste of the famous winery founded by Baron Edmond de Rothschild; a walk around Ramat Hanadiv Memorial Gardens; a glimpse into the historic home of World War I spies for the British; and a talk with the owner of the Tut-Neyar (Berry Paper) paper mill.

Says Tut-Neyar owner Timna Neumann: "We get tourists from all over the world. Just today we had people from Australia, from South Africa, from England - all over. I don't miss the big city at all; I like it here."
