Every spring, Israel's Negev desert is abloom with wild red anemones and other brilliantly colored wildflowers.

The Red South Festival, also known as the Scarlet South Festival, offers an opportunity to take free guided walks on February weekends through the red carpets of anemones in the Reim Recreation Area and the Ruhama Forest, courtesy of Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF).
