A collection of kibbutz-inspired quilts made in Israel is to be displayed in August at Europe’s premier quilting show.

Designed as a space to grow organic crops, the garden is also an educational institution and an urban refuge for the people of Jerusalem.

Carmel Winery, Israel's first and largest winery founded in 1882, in September garnered the prestigious 2010 Decanter World Wine Award trophy.

To mark its jubilee year, the May 23-June 13 Israel Festival performance schedule included 50 events.
