Israel is attracting a lot of attention at the 15th session of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development due to its technological achievements in the area of sustainable development

Israel's achievements in the field of alternative energy as well as the energy parks in the Arava desert are attracting great interest from the participants in the 15th session of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development, which opened in New York on 30th April. Among the participants expressing interest are representatives of countries with whom Israel does not have diplomatic relations.

MFA representatives are using this platform to stress Israel's willingness to assist developing nations in various spheres.

A presentation of the Eilot Project was held in a separate event organized by the Israeli delegation to the UN, in cooperation with the Israel Export Institute. This project for the development and use of sustainable solar energy is being carried out in the Eilot region south of Israel. Other Israeli developments in the energy field were also presented.

The active participation of Israel in this event illustrates the country's ability to participate in a central global issue. Israel's experience and abilities create a broad opportunity for cooperation on civil issues that are of concern to the international community.

Members of the Israeli delegation to this session are from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of National Infrastructures, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor, the Israel Export Institute, as well as the chairman of the Eilot regional council.
