(Communicated by the Prime Minister's Media Adviser)
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel National Cyber Bureau head Yigal Unna, the head of the Prime Minister's staff and Acting Prime Minister's Office Director General Yoav Hurvitz and National Economic Council Chairman Avi Simhon, today (Tuesday, 29 January 2019), at the
Cybertech Conference in Tel Aviv, met with approximately 20 Israeli cyber start-up company representatives.
Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke with the representatives and heard from them about their various technological developments as well as the challenges and opportunities in the cyber sphere. He discussed with them about the cyber challenges facing Israel in the coming years and how the state can help their companies.
Following is an excerpt from the Prime minister's remarks:
"We must constantly strive for progress. This is not assured, just as the success of each of your companies is not assured. If you do not continue to run forward all the time then you know what will happen.
It is the same thing with the Israeli economy. We must always run forward. We, and you, have only two ways to increase your business and our common business. It is a well-known rule: New products, new markets. For new products, I rely on you. For new markets, we will help you. The whole world is now before you, and this is what we have tried to do here today. We welcome the whole world in this – your – field."
