Planning an international conference? Jerusalem is the place to book one.
First and foremost, the magazine examines location, which gives the ICC Jerusalem quite an advantage. As stated by the magazine:
“As a destination of immeasurable historic importance, Jerusalem is an ideal location for unique events of any size… Location is a decisive consideration when planning an international event. Israel is located at a historical crossroads, at the meeting point of key international trends and in the cradle of the world’s monotheistic religions.
No convention in any western capital (impressive as they may be) can match the thrill of visiting the city of kings and prophets, where the adventures of King David and the passion of Jesus of Nazareth took place – a city whose very name is an indelible part of mankind’s spiritual heritage”.
Location aside, the magazine also focuses on ICC’s international standards, describing the center as “one of the leading convention centers in Israel and the entire Middle East”. Being a member of international organizations such as ICCA and AIPC, the ICC Jerusalem has consistently earned the respect of customers from all around the world.
Attractive location? Check! International standards? Check! But what about all the rest?
The selection criteria of the magazine also include customer service; meeting business objectives; scope of activities; range of facilities; number of visitors in recent years; and potential for future development.
Thousands of visitors, thousands of conferences
In the past year, over 500,000 people have visited the halls of the convention center. The ICC Jerusalem contains 27 physical spaces of different varieties and sizes, with one of them being the largest and most advanced in the Middle East.
Over the years, ICC’s team has organized a wide range of events that made history, with an impressive list of VIP visitors including the former US President Obama, then US President George Bush, former General Secretary of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev, and then UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.
As for Israeli VIPs, obviously, almost every single one of them has paid the center a visit. The ICC Jerusalem was always the venue of choice for late President Shimon Peres.
Politics aside, the ICC has proven itself to be quite versatile, hosting the Eurovision Song Contest twice, and being the home of the annual International Bible Contest.
While understandably not Jerusalem's most famous landmark, the ICC Jerusalem represents yet another dimension drawing visitors to Israel's beautiful capital.
