Ambassador Eviatar Manor presented his credentials as the Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations in Geneva on 22 August 2012.
He comes to the post after a distinguished diplomatic career with the Israeli Foreign Ministry, serving as Deputy Director-General and Head of its U.N. and International Organizations Division between 2008 and 2012.
Ambassador Manor joined the Israeli diplomatic service in 1973, after graduating from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Economics and International Relations. He also holds a Diploma in the Studies of the Economics of European Integration, of the College of Europe, Bruges, Belgium (Cum Laude).
His posts abroad include the United Kingdom, the United States and Sweden, where he served as Israel's ambassador between 2004 and 2008.
Ambassador Manor speaks Hebrew and English and has a good command of French.
He is married to Orly Manor (Prof.), and they have two sons, Oren and Ilan.
